Keeping Calgary Stampede Spirit Alive
Calgary Stampede has been an integral part of Alberta Culture since it’s inception. This year, COVID-19 has impacted how many of us interact with our community. We’ve had to adapt to a new normal together and we are grateful for all of the exciting opportunities that are still available virtually.
Although the Calgary Stampede is not happening as usual, we want to keep the Calgary Stampede spirit alive! That’s why we want to share a few exciting virtual experiences that are coming up and look back on some highlights from the past.
Every year the Calgary Stampede is one of our most requested items. Thinking back to last year, we were able to distribute ride passes, rodeo tickets and even facilitate a VIP Chuckwagon experiences thanks to Excel Projects. We are so thankful to the Calgary Stampede and their support over the years with the Young Riders Program. Thank you to Blakes and Dentons for all your support over the years! We are so excited for in-person events to return, but until then we are committed to making the most of this Stampede season.
“Good Morning! I wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to your organization. We received Stampede Rodeo tickets from you along with Children’s Link on Friday and my son was in absolute heaven!! It was a great opportunity to spend the afternoon with my kids watching them watch something that they love. So thank you again, it was an amazing day!”
Instead of sending our kids to the Calgary Stampede, we’re hosting the first ever Pancake Project presented by ATB Financial! On July 7th we’re delivering 500 pancake packages to kids and families in need. What’s in a pancake package? A stampede activity booklet, colouring utensils, pancake mix and syrup for the whole family!
Then, on July 10th we’re hosting a virtual pancake baking class where kids can learn to make extra special Birthday Pancakes with Katelins kitchen! After that, kids can chat and play games, followed by a mini country concert by Drew Gregory!
